Really appreciate all the work you put into dissecting this film. One of my favorites but I haven't had the courage to watch it again. It's so heavy and such an experience. Maybe soon.
It is absolutely the truth. Film as lit was a class in high school that I didn’t appreciate at the time. We watched Vertigo and Shakespeare and a few war films I can’t remember the names of. I loved the Shakespeare, and Vertigo shifted something in my brain in a beautiful way.
I know, without a doubt, had my teacher had even a small portion of your talent, I would have shown up to every class. Great, great work.
You are one of the most brilliant analytical minds I’ve seen on this platform. All of your pieces are so rich, thoughtful, and well articulated and this one is no exception. Thank you for sharing your gifts.✨

Yeah, it carries weight. Means something to know the words carried too.
Stellar! Stellar!

You have a way of making film play through the mind like poetry. The depth in which you sink into these pieces is incredible. Truly magnificent work.
That means more than you know, Bea. Comments like this make the long hours feel worth it.

That’s incredibly kind. And funny enough, for all my words, I never quite know how to answer praise. But thank you.
